Siyakhona Scaffolding (The Company) was established in the year 2004 in the coastal town of Mossel Bay. The Company has been in operation for a period of three years. The Company was borne out a vision to build a formidable, competitive black owned Company.
The Company was founded by four former employees of a scaffolding company who had a vision to utilise their extensive expertise in realising their entrepreneurship dreams. The founders then registered a company and acquired a service contract with PetroSA. The founders then took it upon themselves to employ experienced scaffolding employees.
The Company believes in championing the empowerment and uplifment of its previously disadvantaged employees. The founders took the initiative to allocate a 49% shareholding stake in the Company to the employees and the remaining stake has been equally divided amongst the founders, who also serve as company Directors. The employees and the directors have together amassed an average of about 17 years scaffolding experience prior to the establishing of the Company.
The Company is presently based in Mossel Bay, however it normally opens site offices in the areas in which it acquires business.
